Robin MacIntyre & Black~Fly~Jam – The Smart As Trees Podcast Adrian V
Robin MacIntyre loves her music live and in colour and is the driving force behind the legendary Black Fly Jam. Black Fly Jam is a ‘not for profit’ community organization that for 30 years has presented and promoted acoustic and alternative live music performances for all ages in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma district of Ontario.
The past roster of performances is extensive. Among many others too numerous to list Black Fly Jam has hosted notable Canadian artists such as: Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, Oscar Lopez, James Keelaghan, Lynn Miles, Rita Chiarelli, Harry Manx, Bill Bourne, Susie Vinnick, Mr. Rick and The Biscuits, Das Macht Show, Colin Linden and Richard Bell (yes, of “The Band”!), Stephen Fearing, Fred Eaglesmith, Rodney Brown, Katherine Wheatley, Wendell Ferguson, Ian Tamblyn, Ray Bonneville, Willie P, Bennett, James Gordon, and Rick Fines – and local heroes The Wild Turkeys and the Pierre Schryer Band – to name just a few!
Join the Black Fly Jam Facebook page, a forum for all who have an interest in the Sault/Algoma regional live music; touring musicians, concert announcements, playing and listening opportunities, and live music discussion of who you would like to see…and whatever strikes a chord!
