Jack Wetherall on Shakespeare, Elephant Man, Sault Creative Vortex

Jack Wetherall is a distinguished artist in theatre, television and film. He was born and raised in the creative vortex that is Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Wetherall now lives in Manhattan, New York.

He began his professional career as a young actor at the Stratford Festival Theatre of Canada. Wetherall was directly recruited before he was able to complete his studies at York University arts program.

There, Wetherall acted in various Shakespeare productions, and as the lead in Elephant Man. He rose to become a leading member of the company.

He played Willie in Happy Days at the Westport Country Playhouse. Furthermore, Prospero in The Tempest for the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival. He recently reprised his role as Rod in Hot Lunch Apostles at La MaMa in New York. Finally, he last appeared as Escalus in Measure for Measure in Washington at the Shakespeare Theatre of D.C.
