Ellie Maxwell was born in South Africa in 2008, then moved to Manitoulin Island, Canada when she was eight months old, adopted by Steve Maxwell and Mary Mendes de Franc. As soon as Ellie could talk, she started to sing and dance around the house. That was when her parents saw that maybe there was something special.
Ellie is the youngest of five children, her middle name is Noluthando (which means “love” in the Zulu language), and her birthday is on Valentine’s Day.
