A grizzled veteran of the road, the 13 tracks on the album showcase a strong vocal style, singing deeply personal tales of a life lived hard and fast. Cousineau lays bare the stories behind the making of the music.
From the liner notes on “Rainsparks and Other Stories” Doug Cousineau says, “I’m a seasoned guitarist, musician, performer, songwriter with a love of improvisation in my music and my life. I am a free-thinking soul with a bent for studying music and psychology in human behaviour, applying it to my songwriting in a pro-creative manner.”
