In the summer of 1975, the Art Gallery of Algoma was officially incorporated. This was a huge undertaking of a group of dedicated volunteers led by Mrs. Elsie Savoie who became the first President of the Board of the newly formed gallery.
Over the next five decades the gallery grew tremendously. It touched many people on different levels and became part of life for many generations of Saultites. Either visiting with school or attending many events and programs at the gallery this organization touched people, made impression on them, inspired them, and influenced their choices.
This is a call to the AGA Members to share what the gallery means to them, how they see the gallery as part of their lives and of our community and/or what is their vision for the next 50 years of the AGA.
