Ian Tamblyn is our much loved troubadour who can take on the role of irreverent court jester, or that of a truthful and respectful chronicler of our lives in spirit and nature, and stories born of our Superior inland sea. Ian scoffs when we call him a national treasure, however the country agrees, as he was recently awarded The Order of Canada for his love affair with this land.
Ian’s career spans 50 years as a composer, singer, songwriter, adventurer and playwright. He is a darn good tour guide and zodiac driver to boot, skills all honed along with his stories on many trips with the venerable Adventure Canada tour company, to the high Arctic, Antarctica, and most of the wildest coastlines of the world.
His true allegiance, however, resides here with Superior, and he visits here every chance he gets.
