On this episode, songwriter Jay Case, having recorded with several bands over 20 years plus as a musician, picks out some of his favourite songs and gives us the stories about how the songs were crafted.
Jay Case states on his website, ‘Music Is A Foundation.’
Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. Jay strives to harness that power with an audience of fellow music lovers and passionate musicians alike. Music creates a foundation for many aspects of our lives, and serves as the background to pivotal moments in our personal history. This is the case for Jay, who was born and raised in the cold climate of Sault Ste. Marie, in Northern Ontario, Canada. His music describes, sometimes vividly, the places and events that have shaped his life and the lives of those around him. From a young age, Jay has found great joy and satisfaction in making music and sharing it with people all over the world.
Stylistically diverse and evolving, he’s always finding new paths to musical communication.
