Since 2002, Sonny Spina has been serving the City of Sault Ste. Marie as a police officer. Along with his law enforcement service, Sonny has been involved in a number of charitable organizations. He has dedicated his life to serving the people of the city. One such group is the Twinkie Foundation, where Sonny is the director. The foundation helps cover expenses for families that must travel to care for their sick children. Sonny is also a member of 100 Guys Who Care Sault Ste. Marie, and is a board member of The Centre For Social Justice and Good Works.

Dr. Frank Sarlo has Sonny Spina, one of the truly good guys, in for conversation about police work, biking, running for politics, volunteering, charity and chocolate. (Feb 2020)
