City of Sault Ste. Marie invites input on Public Art Master Plan

Sault Ste. Marie, ON (2026 03 02)—The City of Sault Ste. Marie is inviting residents to share their ideas and feedback on the development of the City’s Public Art Master Plan. Open houses are being held to engage the community in shaping the future of public art throughout the city.

Residents are invited to attend one of the following sessions:

  • Wednesday, March 4 – Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site Discovery Theatre, 800 Bay Street, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 7 – Soo Market, 70 Brock Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 25 – North Branch Public Library, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 1 – NCC Community Space, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 11 – Soo Market, 70 Brock Street, 9 a.m.to 2 p.m.

Each session will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Public Art Master Plan, explore the City’s vision for public art, and share input on locations, themes, and types of artwork that reflect the identity and spirit of Sault Ste. Marie.

Residents who are unable to attend the open house in person can provide feedback online by completing the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WSHWRM8. The survey will be available until April 13, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
