Chris Felix was a captain of the Soo Greyhounds in the 1980s for a team best known for winning the Greyhound organization’s first OHL Championship and for going undefeated and untied for the entire 84/85 regular season home schedule – a perfect 33-0. Felix was drafted by the Washington Capitals where he ended up playing 35 NHL games over parts of three seasons, playing most of his time in the AHL with the Baltimore Skipjacks before heading to Europe for a successful and long pro career.

Chris remains the highest scoring defenceman in Greyhound franchise history and holds the Hounds single-season record for most points by a defenceman.

Months prior to The Borderline Entertainment Network going on air with its radio stream & podcast+ station in February of 2020, we had met with Dr. George Shunock to discuss the creation of a podcast series in which he would co-host. The Doc agreed to the concept and we went to work recording. We were able to record three episodes before the advent of the Covid pandemic.

The show was called The Doc Talks Soo Greyhounds.

Dr. George Shunock is well known in Sault Ste. Marie, ON as the man who saved the Greyhounds. He continues to serve as Alternate Governor/Director for the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club.
