The Kings – Glide As The Beat Goes On Brian Tremblay
You can call them one-hit-wonders and they’ll thank you. After all, who wouldn’t be proud of penning the smash hit single The Beat Goes On/Switchin’ to Glide that made an instant impact on the radio and it’s still going today. The Kings were formed in Vancouver, British Columbia and Oakville, Ontario, Canada. They have worked with incredible producers like Bob Ezrin and an amazing appearance on Dick Clark’s ‘American Bandstand’ helped spread the word as well. The album The Kings Are Here went gold in Canada, and since it was re-released on cd as The Kings Are Here and More, combined sales have passed platinum status.
