Buck Moore has really only been in two bands, Throbbin’ Hoods, lovingly known as Toronto’s Underground Garage Darlings, and Test Monkey, which changed the name back to Throbbin Hoods, with two of the three original members, adding Sev Micron on keys and vocal and Neil Saunders on drums. Buck was a founding member of the Hoods back in 1987, releasing CDs worldwide (Ambush and Hot Live Action) and continued with the band until the winter of 2011. After many years of music and videos, in the vein of rock meets punk, like slaps on the ass by each other.

Buck then tried another band, Creep Echo, an original four-piece, swamp-punk band that formed in early 2012, with the average age being 45! What the hell were they thinking? I mean, who the heck does that? Shouldn’t they have started a cover band and play Mustang Sally for the billionth time? Sounds like a mid-life crisis!

Wait a sec! Two months later, Buck’s guitar-player, audio engineer friend, Dave Greer, had expressed interest in being in a rock band, so Dave went to a rehearsal, played rainbows with the Neanderthal swamp-punks, and he was immediately absorbed into Creep Echo. The Creeps, much like the Hoods, had a merry old time crafting edgy, hard-hitting rock/punk tunes for a five year span.

Buck continues to write and record music of varying genres and puts it out there on streaming services old and new. Buck has also been teaching audio engineering at Trebas Institute since 2001, has developed many prototypes, including solutions for audio recording and production, and has run an AV service dealing in live sound at events with hand-picked crews to deal with live entertainment in Canada and the US.

“SEV’S CELLAR” // with Sev Micron

A classically trained musician with a penchant for the punk music. Sev has played in numerous bands, on keyboards, drums and voice. Tulpa, with John Bottomley, holds a special place and so do the rock punkers, Throbbin’ Hoods. Sneaking up on 40 years of experience in a variety of mediums, Sev Micron engineers Muzicare Productions and has produced a good number of indie artists. Songwriting is another of Sev’s many and considerable talents.

And it wouldn’t be right to not mention that Sev loves animals, dogs especially (hi Bela), and that cooking is a forte! Peace and love are big fans, too.

Punk is not really a style of music. It was more like a state of mind.”
