Episode 21: On Location At Errington’s Wilderness Island

Owner Al Errington and Lead Guide Aaron Van Steinburg are joined by our podcast guides, on location at Errington’s Wilderness Island.

Errington’s Wilderness Island Resort has been owned and operated by the Errington family since 1975. The resort is on a 3 ha (10 acre) island at the north end of Wabatongushi Lake. The log buildings were built in 1980 and project a rustic atmosphere while providing a high degree of comfort. Our main lodge is equipped with a dining room, a licenced lounge, a pool table and games room and a large stone fireplace.

Al, Doris, Devin, Morgan & Nikita Errington would like to welcome you to take a train or float plane in to our secluded wilderness island lodge for great fishing, wonderful wildlife and relaxing wilderness vacations in Northern Ontario, Canada.

Aaron Van Steinburg is the Lead Fishing Guide at Errington’s Wilderness Island in Algoma, north of Hawk Junction. Aaron is the resident Fly Fisher for Northern Pike & Walleye and is well versed in jigging and action baits. Aaron’s other interests include hockey, he’s a goaltender coach to high level goalkeepers in Quebec and the Maritimes. And Aaron is a fishin’ musician, an experienced guitar player.
