Christopher Ward – Black Velvet If You Please

You’ll remember him from those great days of Much Music as a VJ.  You’ll also remember him for co-writing the Alannah Myles smash hit, Black Velvet.  Christopher Ward is an author, songwriter, podcaster, and even appeared in two of the Austin Powers movies as part of the band, Ming Tea.  He discovered the two track master tapes to his 1978 album, Spark of Desire, in a storage unit.  Although unable to re-record any parts, Warner Bros. Records took those tapes, ‘baked’ them and remastered them for a great new listening experience to this classic album.
