Jennifer Barone was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She is an Early Childhood Educator who teaches Kindergarten. Jennifer is the author of Goose On A Roof, her debut book, and for her next one Jennifer turned to her students as her biggest inspiration to create Snowflake Snowflake. She believes we need to find the love and beauty in everything and everyone.

Goose On A Roof – Henry is a small, shy, quiet goose with no self-esteem. His geese friends, especially Ronald, teased and bullied him. Henry’s only wish is to be as fast, as strong and to fly high like the other geese. One day, Henry decided he was determined to fly up to the highest barn on the farm just like all the other geese. After many failed attempts, he eventually succeeds. However, flying up looked easier than flying down. With encouragement from his farm friends, Henry managed to fly down. Because of his accomplishment, Henry’s attitude towards life and self esteem soared to new heights!

Snowflake Snowflake – Just imagine winter through the eyes of a child. They see snowflakes as a rare thing of beauty. See into the mind of a child’s perspective about of the wonders of snowflakes. One winter night, a boy stood outside a beautiful city scene and was in awe of how exquisite snowflakes look as they twirled and danced onto the earth and onto his mittens. Snowflake, Snowflake will carry you through the wonder and imagination of a child and forever change our appreciation for natural beauty.

“The snow goose need not bathe to make itself white. Neither need you do anything but be yourself.”
