Mike Hudson & The Sault Ste. Marie Trading Post – Teddy’s Great Adventures theBorderline
E2: MIKE HUDSON & the SAULT STE. MARIE TRADING POST
Mike Hudson of the Chippewa Trading Post in Sault Ste. Marie has a friendly chat with Woody, going over stuff like business in the winter of Covid, working retail, a little bit of fishing and hunting, and on the excitement of expecting a first child.
As new owners, Mike and his wife, Kristina, continue to operate The Chippewa Trading Post as a family business. This business has many different retail and food type businesses on the grounds, all centered on a “frontier” theme. The main business is The Chippewa Trading Post which is an Esso Branded gas station, also selling hunting and fishing licenses, bait and tackle, groceries, tobacco, lottery, gifts and decor, clothing, kayaks, canoes, ice huts, guns & ammo, and much more. In The Frontier Village they own and operate The Big Moose Ice Cream Parlour which boasts 68 flavours of ice cream, Frenchies Fish House (LLBO licensed) and Frenchies Chicken & Ribs, as well as The Sweet Tooth Fudge Factory with specialty homemade fudge and treats, Kristina’s very successful women’s clothing boutique called Krush, and a large snow plowing and contracting business – Koprash Contracting.
