Aaron Van Steinburg is the Lead Fishing Guide at Errington’s Wilderness Island in Algoma, north of Hawk Junction. Aaron is the resident Fly Fisher for Northern Pike & Walleye and is well versed in jigging and action baits. Aaron’s other interests include hockey, he’s a goaltender coach to high level goalkeepers in Quebec and the Maritimes. And Aaron is a fishin’ musician, an experienced guitar player.
Errington’s Wilderness Island has been own and operated by the Errington family since 1975. We built Wilderness Island Resort for your pleasure and comfort. The resort is situated on 2 secluded islands on the North End of Lake Wabatongushi, the second largest lake in the Chapleau Game Preserve, the largest game preserve in the world.

Learn techniques and lures that really work on Lake Wabatongushi. Every lake is different. Lake Wabatongushi has a great fish habitat; lots of fish and the fishing is relatively shallow and easy. But learning what really works best, and from people who fish Lake Wabatongushi daily, can substantially increase your fishing success and enjoyment. It may be northern pike, walleye or yellow perch. Having a guide you will teach where to fish and increase your skills like a true angler.

Adam Vallee is a full time guide and tournament angler. When not traveling for tournaments across Ontario and the U.S. he spends his time guiding and promoting his home waters of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma.
John Giuliani has 30+ years experience guiding fishing on the historic St. Mary’s River Rapids and Algoma Country, up north to Lake Superior’s various tributaries in search of all species of fish.
Tyler Dunn offers unique fishing adventures along the shores of Lake Superior and on the St. Mary’s River, as well as many different lakes and rivers found in the Sault Ste. Marie area.
