MATT STORCH : Not Your Usual Suspect
Matt Storch is a Canadian singer/songwriter and one time leader of Matt Storch & The Usual Suspects. After a successful album release, Big City, and a decade of full time entertaining, Matt has retreated to a simpler life of select solo performances and a keen interest in writing songs. His latest recordings released as Matt Storch & The Miles Between are a shining example of that.
Matt Storch has gone into his musical kitchen and cooked up a stew that incorporates country, soul, and a ’70s groove that will satisfy many an appetite. Storch has taken it back to what country music once was – songs and stories of life. He has opened up a vein and let it flow into songs of love, loss, loneliness and redemption. The album doesn’t suffer from the usual overproduction that usually assaults the airwaves. This is clean, simple, heartfelt songs with a soul.
