He says it’s because Hollywood Ain’ta Calling that Michael Yurich pays us another visit, bringing some new material with him. We get the straight goods on his creative process and with Yurich, there is always the entertaining sense of humour that comes with the telling. From Anthony Bourdain to politics to pop stardom, the Yurich wit is in fine form.
This is Yurich’s second full album release in two years and that, in itself, is impressive. Making a quality record is a detailed undertaking that requires painstaking work. And when you are a songwriter and lyricist in search of a better way to express ideas without duplication, that contributes to the grind. It’s all part of the gig for Yurich though because he is a man in constant pursuit of getting better at his craft. It all pays off for the time he cherishes most, performing the songs live.
