In the first interview for the Rock’n’Roll Heaven podcast, Brian brings Alfred Johns into the studio. Alfred was a member of the legendary Vendettas, along with Keith McKie of Kensington Market, and he also worked for CKCY 920 as a deejay. Alfred relates some great stories about the music scene in Sault Ste. Marie, opening up for name acts like The Everly Brothers and The Dave Clarke Five. His best story is when they opened for The Searchers – and committed an all-time opening act faux pas!

  1. Kensington Market – I Would Be The One
  2. Keith McKie & The Vendettas – Chains
  3. Chubby Checker – The Twist
  4. Roy Orbison – Oh Pretty Woman
  5. Kingston Trio – Sloop John B. (music bed)
  6. Cliff Richard – Dancing Shoes
  7. Everly Brothers – When Will I Be Loved
