Sev’s Cellar – Michael Yurich

Michael Yurich is a well-known musician in the Soo and area dating to the late 1960’s and his band The Pavement Artists. The Vikings were another long running act and most recently, his band Smokehouse. Through the years, Yurich took to the road and lived in a number of cities, landing regular gigs in Windsor, Detroit, Toronto and Sarnia. Even South Korea was home for a stretch of time.

In 2007, Yurich put out his first album of original work. “Catching Up With the News” included ten songs and was self-produced in his home studio. Thirteen years later in 2020, Yurich released his second full length CD, entitled “Identity” with eleven new songs, including a remake of “Singing the Blues” from his first record. This time an outside producer, Greg Kobe, was brought in to arrange, mix and master. As well, Yurich added some musicians to get the sound he wanted.

“SEV’S CELLAR” // with Sev Micron

A classically trained musician with a penchant for the punk music. Sev has played in numerous bands, on keyboards, drums and voice. Tulpa, with John Bottomley, holds a special place and so do the rock punkers, Throbbin’ Hoods. Sneaking up on 40 years of experience in a variety of mediums, Sev Micron engineers Muzicare Productions and has produced a good number of indie artists. Songwriting is another of Sev’s many and considerable talents.

And it wouldn’t be right to not mention that Sev loves animals, dogs especially (hi Bella), and that cooking is a forte! Peace and love are big fans, too.
